2. Lecture in Marathi ”Swamiji – Partuni Ya (Marathi)’ – 22nd June 2013, 10.30-12.00 noon in Phadelphia. Swami Vivekananda needs no introduction, for his is a household name in India. Swamiji was one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the modern world, a great lover of humanity whose unconditional love extended to all people without any distinctions of caste, class, creed, race, region or religion. Swami Vivekananda was one of the great thinkers of the modern world, and has made important contributions to the world thought also.

Swamiji’s message of potential Divinity of the soul, faith in man’s inner Self as the source of infinite strength, morality, freedom and joy; his message of seeing God in all, work as worship, service to man as service to God; his message of synthesis of yogas and all-round development of human personality; his message of harmony of religions, harmony of religion science, harmony of the East and the West—this is precisely the message that the present world, especially the youth of our country needs.

Smt. Usha Kulkarni, a teacher by profression, has been devoting her time as a social worker, raising money for the children of the poor, putting them in schools and conducting educational programs on basic human values for the adults and the elders in the society. Through such service to the community, she has been promoting Swamiji’s teachings over last 10+ years in Hindi and Marathi, traveling the length and breadth of the country.

Smt. Usha Kulkarni is visiting USA, and it is an honor to have her with us. This year is also Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary (1863-2013). We would like take this opportunity to invite you all on the 22nd June, 10.30-12.00 noon, for a talk on ‘Swamiji – Partuni Ya (Marathi)’.
